Most people know something about their signs such as their zodiac sign or their sun sign, but a lot of people don’t know their ruling planet. Each of the signs of the zodiac are ruled by a planet and this is something that has been known since ancient times. The ruling planets are part of astrology, and they give insight to everyone’s personality of the zodiac.
Sun Signs
The sun goes with the Leo sign. The sun is something that helps to measure the time that the zodiac comes. The sun will go in the same spot that it came in when it reached your zodiac, and this happens each year. The calendar is partly based around the sun.
The Leo is a sign of a person that has a strong self-image and someone that is driven and intense in their personality.
Moon Signs
Cancer is ruled by the moon and is the only sign that is visited each month. The tides can be changed based on the cycles of the moon and since Cancer is a part of this zodiac, it is a sign that desires to feel secure, to feel at home and to have strong intuition when it comes to their own lives.

Venus is an interesting planet, and it rules the Libra and Taurus signs. These are two signs that are not alike, but they have personalities that hit both sides of Venus. The Taurus is one that loves art and beauty such as dining at new restaurants and wearing fine jewelry and the Libra wants to be elegant, fashionable, and expressive.

Mars is a masculine planet, and it is very intense. It takes two years for Mars to go around the sun and it will stay in retrograde for enough weeks that people can look at their life plants. Mars rules Aries and Scorpio and those that are born under these signs like to move forward quickly and have little time to look back at their lives. The Scorpion is the sign that is intense and wants to win but also wants someone loyal to stand by them.

The biggest planet is Jupiter, and this makes it the ruling planet of all things. It takes 12 years for Jupiter to go through the zodiac and it will stay in a sign for a year. Jupiter rules Sagittarius and Pisces. Sags love to have fun and live their life on the edge while the Pisces is one that wants to see how life should be. The signs will reflect on Jupiter which is named after the god of the Roman king.

Saturn rules two signs that are touching including Capricorn and Aquarius. It takes 28.5 years for Saturn to go through the zodiac and will stay in each sign for about 2.5 years. Saturn is limited but it can be seen from the earth without a telescope.
Capricorn and Aquarius are different than the Cancer and Leo sign where Saturn rules the cycle by being the brightest light in the sky and ruling the darkest months of the year in the northern hemisphere.
Capricorn is a sign that seeks out to know where they belong, and they will set boundaries that allow them to see different possibilities. Aquarians are those that love to be in a crowd and like to follow popular trends.
Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto Ruling Planets
These planets were discovered later by astrologers because they were not known in the ancient world. Astrologers tried to make a connection with the planets and the signs. Uranus was one that is a planet, and it was discovered after the American Revolution. It was given the sign Aquarius.
Neptune was found in the nineteenth century and had a strong connection to alcohol and picture taking, birth, illusions, and psychoanalysis. It rules Pisces.
Pluto was founded in 1930 and is considered a secret kind of power and works well with the Scorpio sign.
There are still many things to learn about these three planets and the personality of the different signs. These are rulership planets and when you look at peoples personalities, you can see that the zodiac sign is easy to find. The ruling planet tells about people and about understanding who you are.
